Ben Aqua, local artist, musician and all-around Renaissance Man, is opening his first solo photography exhibition, Invasion of Privacy, at the The Opera House tomorrow, Thursday, July 17, at 7pm.
In Ben's own words, the show is a display of
New photographic studies of private space as a nurturing environment for the creation of fearless, eccentric personas.
If you're fearless, eccentric, or a persona, this show is for you.
Ben participated in our event, Acknowledge Me, a DIY Fair with local Zines, Crafters, Artists, Music and more.

Nearly 300 Austinites came out to eat and compete in iLoveMikeLitt's 2nd Annual Veggie Hot Dog Eating Contest.
Revisit the destruction at our slideshow, with photography by Ann Harkness.
Without even really trying, we easily put down 1500 Tofu Pups from Lightlife, scooped 14 gallons of Vegan Ice Cream from NadaMoo, as well as cheered and jeered fellow herbivores and carnivores who layed their very own stomachs on the line for your entertainment and their glory.

Thanks, Austin, for supporting a steroid-pumped, veggie-friendly lifestyle and supporting iLoveMikeLitt's ongoing efforts to create entertaining events with the model citizens who make them possible.

IT'S COMING!
Our own veggie dog massacre is back, and it's on its way to making last year's contest look like a playground scuffle. We have even more Veggie Dogs from Smart Dogs, even more Vegan Ice Cream from NadaMoo, and tons more prizes from local businesses and national vegetarian-friendly companies.
To make it happen, we need the citizenry to step up and prepare to gorge. Sure, going veggie is supposed to be healthier for you, but the only thing healthy about this is the competition. Start stretching your jaws!
